Wireless Relay

Activate sirens, strobes, and other signaling devices with your wireless Alarms solution

Automated Intrusion Deterrence

Verkada’s Wireless Relay allows you to power third-party sirens, strobes, and other wired alarm signaling devices and configure them as automated alarm responses to deter intruders or alert nearby individuals.

The Wireless Relay provides greater flexibility to deploy signaling devices wherever they’re needed, and is a lighter-weight alternative to a wired alarm panel.

How it Works

  • Install in Minutes

Simply wire a DC-powered signaling device and power source into the Wireless Relay. It will automatically pair with the nearest Wireless Alarm Hub, Console, or Keypad, and become available as an alarm response in Command.

  • Configure Settings

From Command, select the Relay's wired output as an alarm response for a specific site or subsite.

  • Deter Intruders

When an alarm is raised, the signaling device will automatically be triggered, helping to deter intruders in real-time without the need to manually take action.

Frequently Asked Questions

  • How many output devices does a Wireless Relay support?

Each Wireless Relay supports one wired output per device, as well as an (optional) wired input. Valid outputs include one or more sirens, strobes, etc. that can be wired to form a complete circuit, i.e. to support multiple devices, these are to be wired in parallel or in series.

  • What types of devices can the Wireless Relay support?

The relay can support devices operating in the range 12-24VDC, that draw up to 2.5A at 12V and 1.25A at 24V (max 30W).

  • How are signals transmitted between Command and the Wireless Relay?

The Wireless Relay is connected to the Verkada Command platform via the Wireless Alarms Hub, Alarm Console, or Alarm Keypad. These devices use a proprietary wireless communication protocol optimized for security and range.

  • Can I connect wireless signaling devices to the Wireless Relay?

No, the Wireless Relay only supports wired output devices.

  • What do I need to purchase to make the Wireless Relay work?

In addition to a Wireless Relay, customers will need to purchase a BH61 Wireless Hub, BC82 Alarm Console, or BK21 Alarm Keypad (any of these devices supports up to 60 Verkada wireless sensors). Customers will also need to purchase one Alarm License per physical location, which includes professional monitoring.

  • Does Verkada offer an alarm panel with device outputs as an alternative?

Yes, we also have a wired Alarm Panel that includes 32 wired inputs and 2 wired outputs.
