Today we celebrate being named one of Inc. Magazine’s Best Workplaces 2022 - this is the third time we have been honored as an outstanding workplace this year. At Verkada we are dedicated to creating a work environment where employees can grow and thrive both as professionals and as individuals. Over the past year we have launched various initiatives that have helped us in building a supportive, fun, and rewarding work environment for employees and we look forward to continuing in this journey over the next years. We are committed to promoting from within and providing exciting new opportunities to talented employees, often at an earlier point in their career than they would be given at more traditional companies. We also encourage internal mobility between teams and regions, which acts as a motivational tool for employees to gain coveted new experiences. This ensures that diverse experiences are shared within offices and maintains consistency of culture amongst our different locations.
We also offer our employees various avenues for professional development, including a $1500 stipend per year to spend on career development opportunities of their choosing such as courses, trainings, or seminars.

I started out in a sales position at Verkada right out of college. I loved the company, my managers, and my team. At Verkada, we’re committed to making our workplace one where everyone feels a sense of belonging. One of the ways in which we do this is through our employee resource groups - called Communities at Verkada. These communities are made up of groups that aim to foster a diverse and inclusive work environment by providing forums for connection. I remember walking into Verkada on my first day being incredibly nervous. After only a few minutes onsite and hundreds of smiling faces later, I immediately felt so welcomed and knew I had made the right choice. My time at Verkada has quickly become my most treasured professional experience and I'm excited to be spearheading many of the Pride Community events here alongside my new team members. In-Office culture
We provide employees with a collaborative and supportive work environment in which they feel empowered to take risks, become leaders, and find success.
We believe our in-office environment has been key to achieving this. Human connection is at the heart of collaboration and is what pushes the debate of ideas that drives our innovation. Our return to the office was done with safety at the forefront, including offering daily COVID testing for employees and their families.
I am very grateful to be able to come into the office and I think it has been crucial to my development as a young professional. The training I’ve received from my managers, the feedback and encouragement I get from my teammates, and just the overall energy of the office, it's something that can’t be replicated over zoom.
