Verkada’s Fisheye Series has been one of the most popular products in our line of hybrid cloud cameras. Since its inception in 2018 with the D80, the Fisheye Series has helped organizations of all types improve visibility and coverage for their buildings and physical spaces.
We’re excited to share the latest updates to this line of our hybrid cloud cameras with the launch of the CF81-E.
Built From the Ground Up
The CF81-E is a major upgrade to Verkada’s existing Fisheye Series. Re-engineered for a best-in-class experience, each camera includes a 12MP image sensor, onboard storage, and processing and analytics powered by US-based chipset vendor Ambarella Inc.
As a leader in edge-based processing and analytics, the inclusion of Ambarella chipsets provides Verkada customers with the latest benefits in computer vision technology while ensuring that Verkada’s line of security cameras meets NDAA compliance requirements.
New Viewing Modes
The improved processing on CF81-E also introduces new viewing modes to enhance how organizations monitor their physical environments. Specifically, the CF81-E can operate in three different viewing modes:
180° Panoramic: A wide-angle view best for an open area or a corridor.
Four-way split: Monitor four different fields of view with a single camera.
Pan-Tilt-Zoom (ePTZ): An immersive 360º view that captures everything happening within your physical surroundings.
With ePTZ, users can quickly toggle between a 360º fisheye view and ePTZ where they can use their cursor to freely move the frame vertically and horizontally.
These same capabilities are also available when viewing historical footage.
Most notably, ePTZ means organizations are no longer restricted to the limitations of traditional PTZ solutions — such as incorrectly adjusted cameras that result in missing the recording of critical footage.
With these flexible viewing options, there is a wide range of applications for the CF81-E. Customers across retail, education and hospitality have already seen the benefits of the camera’s flexibility, especially as organizations look to maximize their coverage and visibility when planning a return to their buildings.
