New Alarm Licenses Let Organizations Choose the Level of Professional Monitoring They Need
Verkada Alarms helps organizations detect and respond to threats as they happen. At the heart of this is our professional monitoring solution - live, trained agents who can verify whether there’s a real threat and can take immediate action to combat that threat.
We protect a huge variety of organizations that have different needs when it comes to having their sites monitored. So today, we’re excited to announce that we are launching three tiers of the Verkada Alarms License that include different levels of professional monitoring.
Included With Every Alarm License
Every tier of the Verkada Alarms License lets you set up any Verkada device - including cameras, intrusion sensors, access control, and environmental sensors — as an alarm trigger or as part of an alarm response. If you’re using cameras as a trigger, you can choose to raise an alarm based on specific behavior like line crossing or loitering, as opposed to a person simply appearing in the camera’s field of view. These parameters can help ensure that an alarm is triggered only by the activity you care about.
Each tier of the Verkada Alarms License allows the agent to take action on an incident, either by talking down to intruders, notifying the designated contacts within the organization, and/or requesting police dispatch.
LIC-BB Basic Alarm License: $600/year
The LIC-BB includes basic alarm monitoring without video verification. Customers with this license can still use cameras as smart motion detectors if a person is detected in the frame, but agents will raise an alarm without first reviewing the footage.
We recommend this license for organizations that are looking for a traditional intrusion detection system and do not expect false alarms or that have an in-house monitoring team or SOC to handle alarm verification and response.
LIC-BA Standard Alarm License: $1,500/Year
The LIC-BA provides monitoring with video verification in areas and during times when human activity is not expected, like a business or school after hours. If an alarm is triggered, agents will first review video footage to determine if there is a legitimate threat. This helps to screen out false alarms and makes it more likely that police will show up quickly if they are called.
The LIC-BA includes up to 100 total video verification events per location per month (approximately three events per day), across a maximum of 50 cameras. This license is best for organizations that are closed at night and/or have areas where no one should be present.
LIC-BV Premium Alarm License: $12,000/Year
The LIC-BV provides monitoring with video verification in areas where limited human activity is expected, such as a parking garage or an ATM at night. Agents will review video footage to determine if there is a legitimate threat before escalating the event.
The LIC-BV includes up to 1,000 total video verification events per location per month (approximately 33 events per day), across a maximum of 50 cameras. This license is meant for organizations that have off-peak hours where fewer people are likely to be present; it is not meant to monitor continuous human activity. The LIC-BV can also supplement or reduce the need for in-person security guards, especially if guards are staffed across multiple locations at once.
Custom Video Monitoring
If you need more than 1,000 monthly verification events, more than 50 cameras monitored per location, or want monitoring throughout the day and night, please reach out to your Verkada sales rep or email [email protected] for custom pricing.
These Alarm Licenses will be available beginning August 24 and can be purchased as 1-, 3-, 5-, or 10-year licenses. One license is required per physical address.
