Verkada Command is our cloud-based management platform that brings together all of our products onto a single pane of glass. It enables customers to easily monitor events in real time, investigate incidents quickly, and manage an unlimited number of users, devices, and sites.
This past year, we launched a significant update to the Command web interface. The update improved the look, feel, and ease-of-use on the web, especially for organizations with multiple product categories and large-scale deployments. Of course, our web app is only one way for customers to manage their Verkada system. The Command mobile app is an essential tool for managing devices, monitoring facilities, and responding to incidents on the go. Over the past few months, we’ve been rethinking our mobile experience to make it easier to navigate and more consistent with the web experience.
Today, we are unveiling the redesigned Command mobile app.
Easily switch between products and access key features
First, we’ve completely revamped the navigation. Users can now quickly access different products through an easy-to-reach product menu. Within a product, like Cameras, users can navigate between subpages like Archives and People to find product-level features. The new navigation also surfaces key actions like initiating a lockdown, providing easy access with one swipe to the left.
Quickly navigate through devices
We’ve also made it easier for customers to navigate through their devices. Whether accessing cameras, doors, or sensors, users can see more devices at a glance, quickly filter by site, or search for a specific device. With our new and improved design, organizations can manage thousands of devices with ease.
Familiar look and feel at the device level
When users tap on a particular device, the UI should also feel intuitive, especially for those familiar with the web version. Whether searching for footage or reviewing door events, users can easily find the features they need. By unifying our look and feel across web and mobile, customers can conduct investigations on the go without any friction or learning curve.
New Alarms functionality on mobile
Alongside these design improvements, our Alarms product is now fully supported in the mobile app. Admins now have the ability to view and manage alarm sites, events and settings, as well as arm and disarm sites on their mobile device.
Preview the new experience
The new Command mobile experience will be rolled out gradually. As early as February 22nd, users will be able to opt in this new experience from the mobile app. To see it in action, watch our launch event.
