Since launch, Verkada’s Environmental Sensor has helped organizations like schools, businesses, and libraries keep their indoor environments safe.
These organizations turn to Verkada Sensors to monitor, manage and alert on environmental conditions and anomalies. In the last two years alone, we have sent over 600,000 vape events, 150,000 temperature events and numerous others across our customer base. On average, Verkada Sensors send an alert every 26 seconds.
With the strength and adoption of Verkada’s Environmental Sensor, customers have asked for even more ways to keep their indoor environments safe, healthy and sustainable. With input from our customers, we are excited to announce our next generation lineup of Environmental Sensors: the SV20 Air Quality Sensor Series.
Announcing the New SV20 Series Air Quality Sensors
The SV20 Series gives customers the ability to choose the right sensor for their specific use case. Sensors in the SV20 Series include:
The SV21, which includes 4 onboard sensors and is great for managing air quality essentials like temperature, humidity and CO2 in offices, classrooms, or server closets.
The SV23, which includes 10 onboard sensors including vape, TVOC, AQI and others and is designed for vape detection and deployments in schools, offices and more.
The SV25, our most advanced sensor, provides 14 unique sensor readings. With sensors to measure formaldehyde, carbon monoxide, and barometric pressure, among others, the SV25 provides a comprehensive air quality monitoring solution for indoor environments.
Edtech company Chegg, a Verkada Customer and Beta tester of the SV20 noted, “Working in a hybrid environment, it’s important for our team to have the ability to remotely monitor air quality and temperature of our global offices. The SV20 Sensor Series Sensors have all the features we need and seamlessly tie into the other Verkada products we use (Cameras, Access, Alarms and Visitor Management) to help us respond to alerts from a single integrated dashboard, wherever we are” said Brian McGuiness, Chegg’s Vice President of IT Operations.
Better Air Quality Monitoring with Verkada
Like the rest of the Verkada lineup, the Verkada SV20 Series Air Quality Sensors are simple to install, scale and customize, giving you everything you need to ensure safe air quality and elevate building performance. The Verkada lineup includes easy-to-install sensor devices, simplified cloud setup and management in Verkada Command, and intuitive air quality tools to help you monitor and alert on air quality essentials.
Starting with simple-to-install PoE devices, Verkada allows organizations to deploy sensors across a range of environments in minutes. Once installed, Verkada Command functions as your management hub for devices, alerts, Verkada Camera and Alarm integrations, proactive building improvements and more.
In addition to monitoring air quality conditions, Verkada SV20 Series Sensors make it easy to display Air Quality fundamentals across all of your facilities. Starting with Command, users can configure custom dashboards to display and visualize air quality information with powerful, intuitive dashboards. Dashboards can be viewed through the Command web application, and can be displayed on various third party screens and devices including TV monitors, tablets and more.
Last but not least, Verkada’s Air Quality Sensors can be managed from the Verkada Command Mobile app, which allows customers to easily monitor air quality conditions while on the go. In addition to Command Mobile, customers can notify staff of important air quality events with SMS or email alerts to gather more proactive information on their environmental conditions.
Native Verkada Integration
Verkada Air Quality Sensors also integrate seamlessly with Verkada Cameras and Verkada Alarms, helping customers better protect people and assets. Like the SV11 Environmental Sensor, SV20 Air Quality Sensors can natively pair with Verkada Cameras to provide important visual context on any indoor air quality condition.
Verkada Air Quality Sensors can also function as an alarm trigger to Verkada Alarms. With Verkada Alarms integration, Air Quality Sensors can initiate an alarm response to verify video events, send emergency responders, send dedicated emergency alerts and more.
