Introducing New Extended Storage Models, Including One Year of Onboard Retention Coming to Verkada’s Dome Series

With Verkada’s industry-leading edge-based processing, thousands of customers have ditched their NVRs and local servers in favor of a more secure, scalable, and simple solution. By removing the greatest single point of failure, customers can now confidently store and access the footage they need, whenever they need it.

Today, we’re excited to introduce a number of new extended storage models that showcase the technology we have built into each and every Verkada camera. This includes the industry’s first-ever enterprise security camera with 365 days of continuous recording — a feat that eliminates the need for NVRs and meets even the most stringent retention requirements for customers across industries.

We’re also adding a 90-day extended storage option for our highest resolution cameras.

365-Day Retention Model for CD41 and CD51

Since launching the Dome Series, the CD41 and CD51 have become two of our most popular camera models. With People and Vehicle Analytics, as well as a powerful onboard processor, customers are able to quickly and easily find the footage they need to speed up their investigations.

Today, in addition to the existing 30, 60, 90, and 120-day retention options, we’re adding a fifth option that offers a full year of continuous footage retention for both indoor and outdoor models.

Eliminating the need for NVRs

These models are the industry’s first cameras to guarantee 365 days of onboard retention. This feat was made possible through a collaboration with Micron to bring high-capacity microSD storage to edge devices.

90-Day Retention Model for D80, CM61, and CD61

We’re also adding a 90-day storage option for our 4K cameras (CM61, CD61, and CD61-E) and 12 MP Fisheye Series (D80). With 90 days of continuous onboard retention, these cameras help support PCI compliance requirements and offer significant storage capacity in our highest resolution models.
