For the second year in a row, Verkada was honored as one of the Best Places to Work by Built In. The annual Awards program recognizes top companies of all sizes — from startups to enterprises — in the eight largest tech markets across the U.S.
Winners are determined based on an algorithm, using company data on compensation, benefits and companywide programming. To reflect the criteria that candidates are searching for, the program also factors in people-first cultural offerings, such as programs for Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (DEI).
"Puppies in the Park" hosted by Pride at Verkada, our employee resource group dedicated to fostering workplace LGBTQ+ equality and support.
“We are honored to be recognized on this list of best places to work in San Francisco for the second year in a row. Over the course of the last year, we grew significantly, doubling the size of our employee base and expanding our footprint across the US with offices in San Mateo, Austin, Salt Lake City and across the globe with offices in London and Sydney. At the same time, we continued to focus on employee engagement, health and wellbeing and career development," says Dervilla Lannon, Vice President of People at Verkada. “I’m extremely excited to be part of a truly global team and for Verkada to continue to invest in its people.”
In this past year, Verkada has deepened our commitment to DEI initiatives with the launch of Verkada Fit, a new resource group dedicated to fostering physical and mental wellbeing amongst all employees. Verkada Fit is the latest of five Communities which include: Women at Verkada, Pride at Verkada, Multicultural at Verkada and Parents at Verkada.
“This year saw a record number of applicants,” says Sheridan Orr, CMO of Built In. “These companies show a profound commitment to their people. That spirit defines a ‘best place to work,’ and, ultimately, it’s what this program is designed to reward.”
