Today, we’re launching enhanced Audit Logs to provide our customers with greater transparency into all actions taken within their Command Organization.
Previously, Organization Admins needed to review user actions, such as logins or user permission changes in the Organization Audit Log. Actions taken on a given camera were tracked separately in that device’s Audit Log, making it difficult for Admins to have a single view into all of the actions and changes made across the platform.
What’s New
Now, with a centralized interface to view all events across an organization, our enhanced logs will:
Provide full visibility into all user actions taken on Command, including user management, device camera, sensor, and access control device configurations, live and historical video streams, as well as support actions taken with customer authorization as part of our Support Permissions System (SPS).
Allow for easy searching and filtering of actions taken on the platform, so administrators can easily find what they are looking for. Organization Admins can search by device, event type, date ranges, or the user initiating the action.
Enable our customers to better audit, by providing additional details on each event. As an example, clicking on a “History Viewed” event will display the camera viewed and start and stop times for the stream.
Enhanced Audit Logs are now available in Command. As of today, events and actions taken on the platform will be published in the new Audit Logs. Events prior to June 15, 2021 will remain on each camera's Audit Logs, and customers can continue to download historical audit logs through our recently launched .csv export feature.
Organization Admins can access enhanced Audit Logs in Admin -> Privacy & Security -> Audit Logs. If you have any questions, please contact [email protected].
