Product Updates Week of August 12: CM61 Mini 4K, People Analytics, Shared Archives, and More

Today, Verkada is excited to announce our new Mini 4K camera, the CM61, the launch of our powerful AI-based People Analytics, and many additional updates to our feature set.

CM61 Mini 4K: Designed for corporate offices, financial institutions, retail locations, healthcare institutions, hospitality chains, and anywhere where clarity and flexibility are paramount, the CM61 is designed to deliver awesome video quality in a discrete form factor. Our first 4K camera, the CM61 delivers the same limited bandwidth usage as the rest of our camera line while delivering a superior resolution. Find out more about the CM61’s specifications here.

People Analytics: Verkada also announced the general availability of People Analytics for our Mini line of cameras, the CM61 and D40. These new tools give users of Verkada’s Command Platform the ability to review high-resolution images of all people who have entered the location. Included are tools to intelligently search and filter on a range of attributes, including gender traits, clothing color, and date and time. In addition, Verkada’s powerful person matching technology allows users to quickly search for other instances that the person has been in frame, dramatically reducing time spent investigating incidents. Verkada also gives camera operators the ability to enable and manage the use of these features — giving them full control over which cameras are enabled with the edge and cloud processing. Shared Archives: Users now have the ability to share archives they create with others in their Organization. When creating an archive, a user can choose to keep it private or to share the archive with all other users who have access to the camera. Learn more about Shared Archives in our Knowledge Base.

Day of the Week Motion Notifications: Users love our motion notifications to proactively monitor their facilities. Customers use these alerts to monitor stockrooms, maintenance yards, and restricted areas, and they can more effectively target the alerts - filtering by people, time of day, and now, day of the week. Organization Admins can create multiple customized notification windows by day of the week, allowing them to match the alerts to their business’ operating schedule. New Mounts: Verkada is also launching a new set of mounts to support our Mini cameras, the CM61 and D40. The ACC5 is a pendant mount cap, which can be attached to a threaded drop pipe for extended mounting. The ACC6 is a mini junction box mount adapter for mounting cameras to a junction box.
