Product Updates
We’re introducing a handful of minor UI/UX improvements and bug fixes to the Alerts page to reduce the number of false positive alerts.
Now users have the ability to see license plates of interest and access control events, like tailgating, that are linked to specific people of interest all from a single person of interest screen.
We’re introducing new Federal Information Processing Standard (FIPS) validated Bullet cameras. These FIPS-validated Bullets (the CB52-E-F, CB52-TE-F, CB62-E-F and CB62-TE-F) will allow federal customers and partners using standard Command or Command on AWS GovCloud to leverage advanced capabilities like License Plate Recognition, and other features of our Bullet cameras like 4K resolution, 3x optical zoom, up to 50m of IR range for enhanced nighttime viewing and weather-resistant functionality.

We’re pleased to introduce the ACC-MNT-ARM-1 Arm Mount, which will replace–and improve upon–our current ACC-MNT-2 Arm Mount. The ACC-MNT-ARM-1 offers built-in conduit access, better drainage and an updated design to fit flush with the ACC-MNT-SJBOX-1, our Square Junction Box. This updated mount angles the camera downward and, importantly, pushes the camera further from the wall–enabling the camera to point to an area of interest behind itself or around obstructions like a door or a pipe. The ACC-MNT-ARM-1, in short, helps our customers position their cameras in optimal positions to access difficult vantage points.
We’re pleased to introduce the ACC-MNT-SJBOX-1 Square Junction Box mount, which will replace–and improve upon–our current ACC-MNT-11 Square Junction Box mount. This new mount offers easier installation of Verkada’s mounts and cameras, broadens generic mount compatibility and improves the aesthetic of our Bullet (CB) and Mini (CM) series cameras. For easier, streamlined installation of mounts and cameras, the ACC-MNT-SJBOX-1 includes an extra NPT hole for flush daisy-chaining of cables, a back NPT hole that can be plugged during wall mounts, and an increased thickness for improved strength.
The ACC-MNT-SJBOX-1 also includes additional mounting patterns for expanded mounting compatibilities–now compatible with a variety of Verkada and third-party mounts (e.g., Single Gang Junction Box, Double Gang Junction Box, EU Box, etc.). Finally, the ACC-MNT-SJBOX-1 offers an updated design that allows NPT plugs to sit flush against the mount.
While we recommend the ACC-MNT-SJBOX-1 be paired with our Bullet series cameras for optimal aesthetic appeal, it is also compatible with all Mini (CM) series cameras. Note, however, that one would need the ACC-MNT-MJBOX-1 in conjunction with the ACC-MNT-SJBOX-1 if one wishes to use this new Square Junction Box mount for Mini cameras. The ACC-MNT-SJBOX-1 is available for $89. Learn More.
We’re excited to introduce the ACC-MNT-CLIP-1 Tile Clip, compatible with all indoor Dome (CD), Mini (CM) and Fisheye (CF) series cameras. This new mount reduces the need to drill into ceiling tiles for internal camera mounting (one may still wish, however, to drill a small hole to properly conceal the cable). With its adjustable, steel mounting bracket, the Tile Clip adheres to ceiling tile rails from 9/16” (narrow T-shape and square ceiling frames) to 15/16” wide (standard T-shape frame)–covering a wide range of commercial ceiling tile deployments and accelerating the process to mount and install new cameras. The ACC-MNT-CLIP-1 Tile Clip mount is available for $99. Learn more.
Introducing four new models of dome cameras: the CD42-F, CD52-F, CD42-E-F, and CD52-E-F, all of which meet the FIPS 140-2 encryption standard, as validated by the National Institute of Standards and Technology.
The CM22 is a 3MP camera with 10 meters of IR range. To help with investigations, the CM22 provides people and vehicle detection for motion search and trajectory analysis. The CM22 starts at $499 with 256GB of storage and up to 30 days of onboard retention.
The CM22 will be available to ship starting February 8th. Read the full announcement here.
Sentry Mode can now patrol multiple scenes, allowing customers to monitor more locations with their PTZ cameras when a live operator is not available. Users can select up to 25 preset views and configure how long Sentry Mode dwells on each scene, which can range from 30 seconds to 24 hours.
Please refer to the Sentry Mode User Guide for more details.
Verkada cameras now use variable bitrates for both SQ and HQ video. This dynamic bitrate approach allows for video to be recorded at a lower bitrate during less complex scenes and a higher bitrate during more complex scenes. With variable bitrates, customers can experience enhanced video quality when it matters without compromising overall storage.
Please refer to the Adaptive Quality Whitepaper for more details.
