Employee Badges in Apple Wallet

In addition to physical and Bluetooth credentials, Verkada now supports mobile NFC credentials via Apple Wallet. With badges in Apple Wallet, employees can simply tap to unlock with their iPhone or Apple Watch.

For added security, organizations can require the mobile device to be unlocked when badging into certain doors, thus leveraging Apple’s powerful security features like Face ID for two-factor authentication. Just like other credential types, badges in Apple Wallet can be easily managed in Verkada Command and synced with SSO providers.

Auto-Deactivate Unused Credentials

Organizations can now set up automatic deactivation for physical credentials after a set period of inactivity. This can protect against unauthorized access with a lost or stolen credential.

Admins can choose to receive an alert when a credential is auto-deactivated and/or when a deactivated credential is used. They can also view a list of credentials associated with each user and when they were last used.

AD34 Door Reader: Magically Simple, Effortlessly Secure

The AD34 Door Reader supports a wide array of card types, including both low-frequency proximity cards and high-frequency NFC credentials such as Verkada DESFire EV3 badges and Apple Wallet.

The AD34 also introduces a powerful new Bluetooth unlock experience: Intent Unlock. With Intent Unlock, organizations can prevent unintentional unlocks by requiring both proximity-based Bluetooth authentication and precise unlock intent in front of the reader–such as a hand wave. Admins can customize the unlock trigger to provide the right level of security and convenience for each reader.

Improving the CSV Upload Experience

We’ve streamlined the bulk creation of users in situations when API or SCIM integrations are not feasible with enhanced CSV upload functionality. Customers and partners can now easily create numerous user profiles, identify errors in their CSV formatting and data, rectify errors with prompts and suggestions from Verkada, and receive a concise report on the upload's success.
