Pioneer in cloud-based physical security technology, Verkada, today announced a $200 million Series E funding round. The round was led by General Catalyst, with significant investment from Eclipse and additional participation from new and existing investors. Since its founding in 2016, Verkada has raised more than $700 million in funding, and the latest round values the company at $4.5 billion.
Verkada, a leader in cloud-based physical security, today announced a wide range of updates to its Command platform that will make it even easier for its customers around the world to keep their people and places safe.
SDM recently sat down with Caleb Augustin, head of channel sales, Verkada, to talk the company's channel partner program with. Augustin offers insight into how Verkada supports its channel partners, the importance of the channel, and Verkada's goal for channel sales to account for 50 percent Verkada's sales.
The video surveillance market remains extremely strong, both according to SDM’s 2025 Industry Forecast, where 94 percent of security professionals consider the state of the video surveillance market to be very good or excellent, as well as multiple manufacturers and integrators contacted by SDM for this report.
