Verkada Alarms Continues International Expansion With New Monitoring Centers and Certifications
Verkada Alarms allows organizations to detect, verify, and respond to threats in real time with our professional video monitoring and cloud-managed intrusion detection solutions. With thousands of customers around the globe already leveraging these solutions, we’re excited to support even more organizations across North America, EMEA, and APAC by partnering with additional professional monitoring central stations and achieving key certifications for our wireless intrusion products.
New Monitoring Center Partnerships Support Global Customers
Professional video monitoring is at the center of our Alarms solution. It allows customers to use Verkada cameras as intrusion sensors, provides the visual context needed to eliminate false alarms, and helps get priority emergency response. Monitoring agents are also able to respond to incidents in progress, including notifying police and deterring intruders with powerful, remote talk down.
To continue supporting our growing base of international Alarms customers, Verkada has recently partnered with certified professional monitoring central stations in the United Kingdom and Australia, in addition to the United States and Canada.* All of our monitoring centers allow agents to use local numbers for phone and SMS communications. In the US, Canada, UK, Ireland, Australia, and New Zealand, where professional monitoring agents can directly request the dispatch of emergency services, regional monitoring centers also allow for easier dispatch routing and potentially faster emergency response times.
Graded Wireless Intrusion Sensors Help UK and EU Customers Receive Automatic Police Dispatch and Insurance Compliance
For customers looking to leverage intrusion sensors as part of their alarm system, Verkada’s suite of wireless motion, door, panic button, glass break, and water leak sensors help provide complete building coverage with built-in professional video monitoring.
For customers in the United Kingdom and European Union, we’re thrilled to announce that our wireless intrusion sensors all comply with the requirements in EN 50131 and have achieved Grade 2 compliance, the highest allowed grade for wireless systems.**
Graded Intrusion and Hold-Up Alarm Systems (I&HAS) are becoming increasingly important for landlords, property owners, and insurers across the UK and EU. Many insurance companies, especially in the UK, require EN 50131 compliance to issue insurance policies, and grade 2 is the minimum grade many insurance companies will accept for alarm systems. In the event of a break-in or vandalism incident, having a graded alarm system can help organizations ensure that their insurance claim will be approved.
In the UK, grading is also required by certain police jurisdictions to receive a Unique Reference Number (URN), which allows for automatic police dispatch from an alarm signal without needing eyewitness verification that a crime took place.
With this new expansion of international monitoring partners and local certifications, we’re excited to provide a powerful, integrated, and easy-to-use alarm solution to even more organizations around the world.
