Announcing API & Webhook Support for Verkada's Environmental Sensors
We’re excited to announce the availability of new APIs and Webhooks for Verkada's Environmental Sensors, making it easier for our customers to tie into their existing data infrastructure, build custom reports, and integrate into their building management systems.
Customers wanting to extract sensor data such as temperature, humidity, air quality, etc. into external systems, can now do so with our sensor data API. The data can be extracted down to the second or aggregated in user-defined intervals (e.g. 1hour, 24 hours, etc.).
For customers who want a historical view of all of their alerts such as temperature, vape, air quality, they can leverage our sensor alerts endpoint. Over a given period of time, customers can extract alerts for a single sensor device or multiple in a single API call.
Each of our endpoints allow our customers to get sensor and alert data as far back as one year.
In addition to getting historical alerts, customers can now get alerts real-time with our Webhooks. Customers can easily subscribe to all alerts that are triggered by Verkada's environmental sensors and receive them in real-time. This enables customers to get real-time alerts into their 3rd party systems.
How Customers Can Use the API & Webhooks
Pull temperature, humidity, and air quality data into a building management system to compare values and make decisions for the HVAC system
Correlate sensor data with other metrics within the environment in a single system
Extract sensor data and run further analysis, create custom graphs, and share insights
Receive a real-time Slack or Microsoft Teams message when vape is detected in a bathroom
We look forward to seeing all the various uses of the new APIs and Webhooks. If you have any questions or feedback, please contact [email protected].
