Smart From Within
Each Verkada camera is built to deliver the entire experience of a traditional video security system within an individual enterprise-grade camera. This means each Verkada camera benefits from its own onboard processing and storage without compromising performance and quality.
Starting with an Ambarella chipset, the CM41-E features powerful onboard processing to drive real-time analytics at the edge for nearly instantaneous insights into what’s happening across your organization.
Combined with Verkada’s computer vision technology, CM41-E customers can utilize features like People and Vehicle Analytics, Motion Plotting, and additional insights such as Crowd Notifications for proactively responding to COVID-19 related incidents.
Onboard each camera is also built-in video storage. The CM41-E comes in various extended storage options, including 30, 60, 90 and up to 365 days of continuous video recordings.
Small in Size, Full in Strength
The CM41-E is the perfect solution for customers looking to add enterprise video security in critical areas without being obtrusive.
Despite its minimal form factor, the CM41-E meets the same durability as our outdoor Dome Series.
With rigorous testing, the CM41-E has been independently certified to meet the needs of any range of outdoor environments or situations.
To protect against the elements, the CM41-E is certified with a rating of IP67. This ensures everything from the camera’s lens to the onboard processing and storage is protected from dust and water immersion.
Additionally, the outer shell and dome has a rating of IK10 — the industry’s highest possible certification for protecting against up to 20 joules of impact.
Ready for Transit
With Verkada’s hybrid cloud approach’s flexibility and scalability, our customers are always looking for ways to expand their coverage beyond just their buildings.
From connectivity and power to simply accessing footage, traditional video security systems add many hurdles for organizations looking to implement video security under a single pane of glass.
By using forms of remote connectivity, such as cellular modems and point-to-point, customers can quickly and easily deploy Verkada cameras wherever coverage is needed without the challenges and known requirements of traditional enterprise video security systems.
However, of these deployments, one of the most challenging for organizations is transit.
With the CM41-E, we have built a camera that is ideal for mobile deployments and has been engineered to meet the stringent requirements of implementing video security on railways, buses, and other forms of transportation.
In addition to the CM41-E’s IP67 and IK10 certification, each camera also carries an IP6K9K rating to ensure the casing is protected from high-pressure water often associated with cleaning the interior of transit vehicles.
Other key certifications of the CM41-E include:
EN 50155: A certification for ensuring electronic devices on railway vehicles are protected from the impact of temperature, humidity, vibration and shock.
EN 45545: A certification for ensuring electronic devices on railway vehicles protect passengers and staff against onboard fire incidents.
EN 50121: A certification for ensuring electronic devices on railway vehicles meet electromagnetic requirements.
Additionally, the CM41-E features our highest available tilt angle. Up to 70º, the CM41-E can provide improved visibility for low-mounted cameras down a transit tube or hallway.
