At the beginning of 2024, we announced a redesign of the Command mobile app, making it easier and more intuitive for users to navigate across products and use key features. Today, we are thrilled to announce two additional updates to the Command mobile app: the inclusion of Verkada Intercom as well as a complete redesign of our Air Quality Sensors interface. These updates are part of our continued effort to make Command the most powerful tool to keep people and places safe - whether your are on-site or on the go.
Introducing Intercom Functionality
We are excited to introduce Verkada Intercom functionality within the Command mobile app. With this update, designated users can now receive intercom calls, unlock Verkada access-controlled doors, and view live intercom call footage – from their mobile phones anywhere in the world.
From the Intercom homepage, users can quickly identify if a device is offline, change viewing settings, and filter by site location. Once an intercom is selected, users can view the live feed from its camera and any context cameras associated with it. From there, users can talk to a visitor at the door and unlock access-controlled doors. Finally, just like on Command for web, users can see advanced people analytics and door access events.
With the addition of Intercom to the mobile app, admins can now choose between three mobile receiving options: the Command mobile app, Verkada Pass app, or a phone call. The Command mobile call receiving experience closely resembles the Verkada Pass app experience, allowing admins to consult live views and respond to calls with one tap.
Complete Redesign of Air Quality Sensors Tabs
This month we’re also refreshing the user interface for Sensors in the Command mobile app. Focusing on a simple design that improves information flow, the updated interface enables users to glean key Sensors updates from the homepage.
Now, when users click into the Sensors homepage, they will see their sensors organized site-by-site and have a snapshot view of up to four readings per sensor as they scroll through their deployments.
When users click into a sensor, they can toggle between readings and view trends in upgraded graphs, allowing for easier interpretation on-the-go. Additionally, customers will be able to consult a comprehensive view of event history across sensor readings, mirroring the experience they know from Command on the web.
With the introduction of new tabs for dashboards, analytics, and calibration, the Command mobile app now supports a wider range of views and actions, empowering users to manage their sites’ sensors more effectively than ever before.
Availability
The new Intercom functionality will be available on November 14, 2024, followed by the Sensors interface update on November 21, 2024. Both updates will be available across all regions. To learn more, contact [email protected].
