Expanding Our Next-Generation Cameras: Introducing the CD63 Indoor and CD63-E Outdoor Domes

We are excited to introduce the latest additions to Verkada’s next-generation cameras: the CD63 indoor and CD63-E outdoor dome cameras. Like the other cameras in this new generation, the CF83-E fisheye and CP63-E 4K PTZ, the CD63 and CD63-E deliver impeccable image quality in a variety of conditions, along with a streamlined and intuitive installation process. 

Both domes feature large 1/1.2" progressive CMOS image sensors with 4K resolution, advanced optical lenses, 40 meters / 130 feet of IR range, and Ambarella CV72 processors for advanced analytics, like AI-powered search. Leveraging these powerful components and processing at the edge, CD63 and CD63-E take person and vehicle detection to the next level. Organizations can deploy the CD63 and CD63-E in high-traffic lobbies and parking garages, building exteriors, busy intersections, and even airport runways, especially at night.

The CD63 and CD63-E cameras were designed for easy installation, and feature thoughtful details like captive screws that remain attached to the mounting plate, a built-in bubble level, a single screwdriver for tightening, a microphone mute switch for enhanced privacy, a three-LED light installation status indicator, and, for the CD63-E, a latch-based cable gland for quick PoE threading. Taken together, these enhancements help better support large deployments in a variety of indoor and outdoor conditions.
