The 2025 Safety Champion Awards, Presented by Verkada

Safety and security professionals inspire us to stay mission-focused on the protection of people and places in a privacy-sensitive way. From helping bolster school safety to combatting retail theft to safeguarding healthcare professionals, these individuals make the communities that we live and work in safer each day.

To honor the individuals and organizations that go above and beyond doing the mission-critical work of keeping their organizations safe, we’re excited to announce our second-annual 2025 Safety Champion Awards. 

Nominations are open through July 16, 2025 and we will announce honorees at our annual user conference, VerkadaOne. We invite you to recognize safety and security leaders across the following categories:

Impact Award

The Impact Award recognizes an individual who has made a positive, tangible impact on the safety and security of their organization and/or community. In addition to celebrating our honoree at Verkada One, winners will receive a $15,000 monetary gift.

Security Professional Excellence Award

The Security Professional Excellence Award recognizes a Verkada customer who has demonstrated exceptional skill, innovation, and dedication in leveraging technology to enhance security measures within their organizations and/or community. This award is open to physical security professionals only. In addition to celebrating our honoree at Verkada One, winners will receive a $10,000 monetary gift.

School Safety Excellence Award

The School Safety Excellence Award acknowledges schools or universities that use Verkada and have spearheaded comprehensive safety initiatives to proactively address security challenges, emergency preparedness, and student wellbeing. In addition to celebrating our honoree at Verkada One, winners will receive $50,000 in Verkada products for their organization (or an organization of their choosing).
