Our customers regularly utilize our Event Analytics functionality to understand environmental trends across indoor spaces. For example, organizations may use Event Analytics to review the impact of school or district-wide vape prevention programs and policies at a glance. Today, we are excited to announce several improvements to the Event Analytics page.
To give organizations more insight into trends over time, we’ve extended the date ranges beyond pre-set daily, weekly, or monthly periods to allow customers to view data for any time range - even hourly. This update will allow customers to identify peak event times throughout the day in order to, for example, better allocate resources, such as adding more security resource officers at a particular time. Inspired by the scrollable software functionality of popular calendar tools, customers can now tab between any time range to better understand alert trends. For example, a customer could adjust the date range to view the monthly event analytics for a specific school year.
We’ve also improved the existing interface with additional details like sub-site information and a more intuitive sensor reading and site selector.
Static IP addresses for sensor devices
We’re bringing a popular camera feature to the sensor lineup: static IP addresses. This functionality will allow customers to configure a static IP address for their Verkada sensors, making it easier for sensors to maintain consistent network communication without relying on dynamic IP allocation protocols, such as the Dynamic Host Configuration Protocol (DHCP).
Static IP addresses can be configured for each sensor on the settings page.
Availability
These new features will be available on May 23, 2024. Join our upcoming What’s New Webinar or contact [email protected] to learn more.
