Share What Product and Features Are Being Used With Public Privacy and Security Disclosures

Organizations are placing a growing emphasis on providing increased transparency to their employees, customers, visitors, and the public about the technologies used to ensure their safety. Transparency is crucial for privacy, as reflected in regulations such as the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) in the EU, the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) in California, and the Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA) in Canada.

To help make transparency, privacy, and compliance simpler for our customers, we now offer a Verkada Privacy & Security disclosure. Using this feature, customers can communicate which products and features are being used in their organization.

This allows individuals entering a building equipped with Verkada products to scan a QR code and quickly learn, for example, whether audio recording is being captured by the cameras on the premises.

Organization Admins can generate their custom disclosure from the Admin section of Command. Once generated, in addition to the QR code sticker, the disclosure can also be shared in the form of a link embedded in an email or printed as a handout.
