Announcing Verkada’s Integration with SimonsVoss SmartIntego Wireless Locks

We’re excited to announce our upcoming integration with SimonsVoss SmartIntego wireless locks.

This partnership expands our network of wireless lock integrations and will make it even easier for organizations - particularly throughout Europe - to adopt Verkada’s enterprise-scale access control solution without having to rewire doors.

Flexible, Secure Wireless Locking Technology

Verkada will support select hardware from SimonsVoss’s SmartIntego collection, specifically the Digital Locking Cylinder and Digital SmartHandle models. 

SmartIntego locks are designed from the ground up to provide a secure yet easy-to-use experience for customers. In wireless online mode, the battery can handle up to 80,000 activations, with an average five-year battery life in standby mode. The locks also allow for simple, cable-free installation and snap-in mounting. Every component is manufactured in Germany and adheres to the highest quality standards.

SmartIntego locks support a variety of access credentials, including ultra-secure, encrypted NFC credentials like Verkada DESFire EV3 cards and fobs.

Every lock in the SimonsVoss SmartIntego lineup communicates via an encrypted wireless network to the SimonsVoss GatewayNode hub. The hub connects directly to a Verkada AC12 door controller over PoE, and can be managed through Verkada Command, allowing for changes to be recognized immediately by the hardware. Each Verkada AC12 controller can access control up to 16 locks.

Like our other wireless lock integrations, SimonsVoss and Verkada together allow customers to remotely unlock doors, see live door events, manage door schedules and access, trigger a lockdown, monitor battery levels, and more. Native integration with Verkada’s video security products also provides customers with unique visibility into door events and user activity, making it easy to detect, for example, if someone tailgates in behind an authorized user, or has picked up another person’s keycard.

SimonsVoss SmartIntego wireless locks on the Verkada platform will be available for customers in the UK and Europe beginning February 13, 2025.
