• AI-Powered Search with Reverse Image Analysis: In addition to using freeform text with AI-powered search, organizations can now upload a photo of a person, vehicle, or object to Command to obtain relevant search results. This new functionality analyzes multiple aspects of an image, like shapes, pixels, patterns, and other granular details, then delivers the likeliest set of matches from one’s camera fleet. • Occupancy Trends Updates: Introducing several updates to both single camera Occupancy Trends and the multi-camera Occupancy Trends dashboard, including: multiple “count line” presets on a camera, average counts of people and vehicles, and a new in/out graph in the single camera Occupancy Trends view. • AI-Powered Alerts with Quick Alert Creation: Organizations using AI-powered search can turn queries into alerts with a single click. Instead of manually customizing each AI-powered alert from the Alerts page in Command, organizations can have their alert creation flow prepopulated with their search query directly from the search bar by clicking the new “Create Alert” button – reducing the time it takes to create an AI-powered alert down to seconds.

• Command Connector Updates: Introducing several updates that improve security and customizability of non-Verkada camera channels running through Command Connector, including: custom NTP and NTS support so IT administrators can select their desired in-network servers (custom NTP) and also gain secure access to out-of-network servers (NTS). Command Connector also now supports secure data storage in EU and Australia-based data centers and is now compatible with over 1,000 non-Verkada cameras.

• End-of-Sale of CM41-S: As of February 1, 2025, Verkada will no longer sell the CM41-S mini split camera. Customers can instead purchase the CM42-S mini split camera to support high-resolution, discreet monitoring in tight spaces, like ATMs and retail shelving. • New Dome Mount: Introducing the ACC-MNT-REC-2 to support indoor ceiling mounting for dome cameras. The ACC-MNT-REC-2 provides flush mounting in ceilings up to 50mm thick. Learn more in our Mounts for Cameras guide here.  

• Introducing Granular API and Webhook Permissions: Customers can now create Verkada API keys with fully customizable permissions tied to one or multiple Verkada product lines, including “critical endpoints” (i.e., streaming and camera audio). Customers can now also specify the data they wish to be forwarded to their Webhook URLs from a list of available Command events.

• Updated Access Control Management Roles & Permissions: Introducing a new set of access control roles across three independent categories: system roles, user roles, and site roles.  Learn More

• Cross-Site Access Levels: Admins can now more easily use sites to organize their Verkada deployments with access levels that can span multiple sites.  Learn More

• SCIM-Synced Access Credentials: Customers can now use our Okta and Entra ID SCIM integrations to automatically tie physical credentials to users in Command.  Learn More

• User Profile Photo APIs: New APIs are available for customers to automate the syncing of user profile photos from their user system of record, as well as download photos so they can be synced to another platform.  Learn More

• New Intercom and Sensors Functionality in Command Mobile App: The Command mobile app has been updated to include Verkada Intercom functionality and a redesigned Air Quality Sensors interface, furthering feature parity with the web version for easier on-the-go site management. Learn More

• Navigation Improvements to Alert Inbox: The desktop version of Command now allows users to create custom sections, view all, and star alerts. Learn More    

• OpenID Connect (OIDC) Protocol Supported on Command: OIDC protocol is now supported on both Command mobile and web, enabling secure identity authentication for users accessing Command via an unrelated application. Learn More

Connectivity

• Carrier Selection: US customers are now able to choose their primary carrier when using Verkada SIMs, allowing them to select the best carrier for a given site. Learn More

• Expansion of Multi-Carrier Redundancy: Verkada Data Plan now supports multi-carrier redundancy in over 30 countries, including the UK, Canada, Australia, and most EU countries. Learn more

Intercom 

• Intercom on Command Mobile App: Intercom functionality is now available in the Command mobile app, enabling users to receive intercom calls, unlock access-controlled doors, and view live intercom call footage from their mobile phones. Learn more

Sensors 

• New Air Quality Sensors Mount: We are introducing a new reinforced mount plate, ACC-SV-MOUNT-1, to minimize the risk of vandalism and unauthorized removal of air quality sensors. Learn more

• Redesign of Air Quality Sensors in Command Mobile App: We have redesigned the Sensors interface on the Command mobile app to improve information flow with a wider range of data views and user actions.  Learn more

• Enhancements to Student Guest Types: Student guest types are now as flexible as standard guest types when creating Questionnaire flows, enabling conditional logic based on student responses. Learn More
