Verkada’s government-grade offering includes the Verkada Command platform hosted in AWS GovCloud, which supports our FIPS-validated camera models and our visitor management solution, Verkada Guest. These solutions have met rigorous security standards, including FedRAMP Ready at the Moderate impact level and FIPS 140-2 validation, and are TAA and FY 2019 NDAA compliant.

US government customers* can choose to use Command in GovCloud, which gives them the flexibility to use cloud solutions on top of the stringent security controls provided by AWS GovCloud.
*Access to Command in GovCloud is limited to US government organizations, including federal, state, local, tribal, research institutions, federal contractors, or government contractors.
FIPS-Validated Cameras
Verkada offers a full spectrum of camera models and features with additional layers of security to support our government customers. This includes four models of dome cameras, four models of bullets, as well as the PTZ and multisensor models that meet FIPS 140-2 standards. These cameras have durable, vandal-resistant designs, advanced computer vision features, and are TAA and FY2019 NDAA compliant. The FIPS-validated camera models are compatible with Command in GovCloud, as well as the standard Verkada Command platform.

Command in GovCloud supports Verkada Guest, allowing government organizations to streamline check-in and provide a more welcoming experience for their visitors. Native camera integration helps organizations increase security by enabling them to quickly find footage of visitors as they move throughout the facilities.
Our FedRAMP Journey
To achieve FedRAMP Ready status, Verkada worked with a third-party assessment organization (3PAO) to successfully complete a Readiness Assessment Report demonstrating key security controls. The next step in our journey to become FedRAMP Authorized is to progress to "In Process" status, which involves a more in-depth security assessment with an initial federal agency. Once the "In Process" designation is achieved, we will advance to a complete, in-depth initial assessment for full system authorization.
